Girl's in the Community

On Girl Scout Sunday March 10, 2013, Girl Scouts from Troop 30973, 31315, 31563, 31659, 30943, 31108 setup, prepared and served lunch at St. Edward Church for the Friends and Fellowship Lunch for those in need of a meal.

Troop 30785's day of preparing lunch at the Sunrise Village homeless shelter (March 17, 2013).

Junior Troop 31102 has had a wonderful year. We completed 2 Journeys, earned 7 badges, had High Tea with our Mothers and Grandmothers, visited the Marine Mammal Center at the Marin Headlands, participated in a beach cleanup and collected over 100 coats for One Warm Coat. We had a great time learning about and dressing up as Female Role Models while earning the Playing the Past badge, and enjoyed an evening of crime solving at the CSI Banquet hosted by Ambassador Troop 30785. We are looking forward to a fun relaxing summer before starting off the 2013-2014 year working on our Bronze Award project at the Sunrise Homeless Shelter in Warm Springs.

The girls in our Troop 30920 earned their Senior Cross Training badge with the help of Irvington high school student, Emily Buchanan.  We had loads of fun while exercising.  We played games and learned creative ways to keep fit.  First, we wrote goals for ourselves, and then we headed outside!   We learned different stretches, lifted weights (rocks), and played relay games.  We laughed while playing leapfrog and wheelbarrow on the grass.  Being healthy was a lot more fun than we thought!
